How do I submit a photo for painting?

Once you have submitted your order and payment, please send your image(s) to the orders email, orders@abigailkaplanstudios.com. To ensure you get the correct painting mailed to you, please include your name and order number in the message along with any images you would like used for your painting(s).

How many photo(s) should I send for my painting?

You can submit as many as you would like! I love a few (1-3) high quality/ resolution images of each animal. The better the quality the more detail I am able to add. Good lighting and posed photos are even better! However, I know some times we have animals who have passed and the perfect photos of them do not exist. If this is the case send a handful (5-6) that would allow a me to reimagine and create one stunning painting!

How long do the paintings take from time the order is placed until I receive my painting?

It takes between 3-4 weeks for the painting to be completed, and depending on shipping, it can take an additional week to reach you. If you need an order rushed please let me know and I can work with you.

During the Holidays (December-January) please have orders for paintings submitted by October 30th to allow ample time for the paintings to reach you in time.

Can I have a background or other feature added to my painting(s)?

I do not offer any backgrounds at this time. If you have any special requests I will try my best to accomodate them. Please include them in the email of your photo(s) to the email orders@abigailkaplanstudios.com. Follow the instructions in the above question to learn how to submit your photo(s) for painting(s).

How do I get my painting(s) framed or matted?

The painting(s) do not come matted or framed. You can go to a local framing store or craft store to get mat(s) and frame(s) for your painting(s). I use standard sized paper for the paintings to make it easy to buy frames and mattes off the shelf. If you have questions about the specifics of picking the correct size frames or mats for your paintings please reach out to me and I would be happy to assist.
